First things first! Your first priority is to get as much information as possible. WebMD [www.webmd.com] is an excellent source of information regarding what you're dealing with [look for Herpes Simplex Virus; which is NOT genital herpes]. However, nothing beats the sound advice of a live physician. So, make an appointment and continue your quest for solid information.

Try this: tell this guy (honestly and openly) what you are dealing with then listen carefully to his response and watch his body language closely. Tell him exactly what you told me! If he is already informed or simply does some research, he'll realize that the issue is minor. If he isn't informed and chooses to remain that way, he won't want to continue with you. If the latter is the case, you'll have to focus on YOU and not worry about the "hang-ups" of the uninformed and judgmental. I'll think positively for you and hope for the best though. Hopefully, this guy is intelligent and mature so you'll have absolutely nothing to worry about.

From my lips to your soul...
