FANTASY - the free play of creative imagination; the power or process of creating unrealistic or improbable mental images in response to psychological need

When not used for business purposes, the internet is solely a form of and place for ENTERTAINMENT. Entertainment has its roots in fantasy. I'm intrigued when people make assumptive statements or ask biased questions based on encounters in a fantasy world! It's illogical to measure reality by fantasy. Anything goes in the world of fantasy. The fantasy will stretch as far as the human imagination allows, and that's a good thing. Imagination is healthy. The bad [and unhealthy] occurs when the boundary between fantasy and reality is lost and the two become blurred or indistinct. Fantasy and reality are often blurred by internet entertainers.

"IcePik," you "cruise many web sites (hook-up sites)" and seemingly expect to find honesty among people you don't know [in a fantasy world]! The strangest part is that you came here expecting me to analyze and examine the people you make reference to, but I'm forced to analyze and examine YOU! I have to wonder what draws you to these places when it only upsets and frustrates you! Ironically, you continue to go back. Then you ask about the mental state of "gay Black men!?!" You must first EXAMINE YOURSELF because it is quite possible that you are not so different from the people you are making reference to. I'm not here to judge you or them. Nor am I here to "blast" anyone for your gratification [as you allude to in your last statements]. I simply want YOU to recognize that you are allowing a FANTASY to frustrate your REALITY and cause you to form unhealthy biased generalizations! Something is terribly wrong with that!

You ask, "what is wrong with Black gay men?" Nothing and everything! I say NOTHING because being "Black gay men" isn't the root of the problems you are having. I say EVERYTHING because when you finally get to the root of the issues, you'll see that it isn't limited to "Black gay men." The real question is, "what is wrong with humanity?" Humans without standards [general codes of honor, ethics, and morals] will always disappoint us [no matter the ethnicity or sexual orientation]. Standards help us keep boundaries. Where there are no boundaries, there is chaos. Since the internet has little or no boundaries, you should logically expect chaos! Why in the world would you frequent places of complete chaos expecting and attempting to establish order? You don't have that kind of power so it's fruitless!

"IcePik," the root of your problem(s) begin and end with YOU! You must figure out what [in you] draws you to the negativity you continue to encounter on these web sites. If it bothers you that much, you should walk away from it and not turn back. You must draw the distinct line between fantasy and reality. You must STOP pointing your finger at everyone else and START pointing in the mirror and adjusting your own shortcomings! You also need to set a few standards for your life, in general areas [family, friendship, relationships, communication, love, sex, education, business practices, money management, etc]. That will help bring order to your life and help eliminate unecessary chaos. Think about that!
