You set yourself up for failure when you thought you "might change his mind." You don't have the power to do that. You can change his hair, his clothes, and what he eats. But you can never change his MIND! Only he has the ability to do that! Ironically, he has NOT done so for six (6) years. So now it's time for you to change YOUR MIND!

Redd's Metaphor: When a person has a car, he or she has four (4) main tires and one (1) spare. The four (4) main tires support the weight of the entire vehicle. They are the anchor for that car. The car [in this case] is the guy you have been seeing for six (6) years. The four (4) main tires here represent his boyfriend [physically, emotionally, mentally, and spirtually]. You are the spare tire, which temporarily picks up the slack when one of the main tires happens to go flat! You just fill in for the physical aspect when that part of the guy's primary support system goes down. You are not ever going to graduate and become his anchor!

Why settle for being a spare that lays low in the trunk all the time? You can be the main support system [in somebody else's life] that is visible and useful in a positive sense! There is more to life than sex! If you can only focus on great sex, then you will always settle for being less than you were created to be. You were created to be the head and not the tail. You were created to be above and not beneath! Let that man go and find someone who will put you first in their life and not place you under their feet!
